oh so restful and peaceful and beautiful! Immanuel, God with us, indeed! I also really like the soli deo gloria. Your sunburst mirror is truly wonderful. I also think your stockings are splendid and those numbers with the tiny hearts on the mugs, precious. The map is also a favorite feature of mine. Thank you for the tour. Kelly

why is Emmanuel spelled like that? and you have it spelled 2 different ways. just sayin...

Margitta said...

Oh, our family is bi-lingual (norwegian and german) and it's just spelled differently in different languages ;)

lovely home. I love your life story. My husbands visits Sweden several times a year on business. I have joined him about four times. Actually I have been in each season. It's funny, a couple of years ago they were having an unusually warm summer in Varsburg when we visited and this year in January we visited Stockholm and a city close by and they were having record lows. We have been to Germany a few times. My husbands father was stationed there in the sixties so he lived in Wiesbaden for three years.

I love how you centered on the true reason for Christmas! Your home is beautiful! I also have 5 children and have found that their "traditions" are made by doing several of the same things each and every year. Keeping Christ in Christmas is the most important! Your home is so relaxing and cozy! Love it!

I'm always inspired with interiors like this! Beautiful job!I still have one (of two) of the German closets that my parents brought home to the US, circa 1965. It's one of my greatest treasures. Merry Christmas to you!

Hello, I'm visiting from SNS. I just LOVE your simply beautiful decorating. I am slowly but surely letting go of things to acheive a less "cluttery" look. You've inspired me to let go a little bit more. Thanks for the peek! Merry Christmas, Laurel@chippingwithcharm
