thrifting

It has been a while I sat my foot in a thriftstore. Bur the other day, my husband was early home and I had the chance...

This is what I found today (not the black candlestick) .

I liked both of the white pitchers. One found its place on my rack in the dining room:


And the other helds a peonie on the bathroom sink:



What I did with the large brass candlestick I'll show you another time.
I'm not to found off brass, but this other candlestick is quite nice:



Very heavy, and a nice finish:


I'm not quite sure what to do with it. I feel it's too precious for spray paint... but I would prefer still a bit more patina...

That last bronze candle holder has a lovely patina! I think it works well without changing it, as the brass isn't shiny or overwhelming. I don't like brass either, but it is definitely coming into style these days for beach cottage style, because brass is often used on boats.

Den var flott. Jeg hadde nok sprayet den hvit, men den var jo fin slik den var også.
Så flott med en peon på vasken.

Trur også at messingen kommer snart tilbake. Vær tålmodig Margitta med sprayboksen din. Har også noe messing på loftet, det blir nok fint igjen en dag skal jeg love deg. Messing for alle penga da :-)
