next step

Next step towards my farmhouse diningroom was to add open shelving.

This shelf cost me 10,90 NOK (less than 2$).

The staining technique is so simple and cheap...

I'll share more about it soon.

Next step is to exchange the lightning fixture... have allready another thifted one ;).

But allready now I enjoy having a cup of tea here!
Welcome!

(Never mind the floor is dry by now;)

Those shelves look great, love the baskets. Looks like you've been inspired by Lissa too! Those chairs are great too ... Maybe paint them grey?
Your home looks so peaceful and welcoming.

PS actually looking again I really like the dark timber look but I see what you mean about them being shiny and sauerkraut-y. Maybe your kids could rough them up for you ;-)

This looks just like my Ikea shelf, except you've got one more than I do (and mine aren't moveable). I'm just about to paint it black, though. I love mine!

Your farmhouse dining room is lovely! I love the white table with great legs mixed with the chairs. The arrangement on the shelves is very simple and very pretty.
