I did it...

I removed the pink wallpaper in my livingroom. It was this sudden revelation: do it NOW!

30 years of pink was actually quickly removed... oh what a relief!

Mr Viking: What have you DONE?

me: oh, I removed the wallpaper...

Mr Viking: we can't have people over whith our living room looking like that!

me: well, other people renovate their houses and we just explain that we are in the progress of re-wallpapering...

Mr Viking: Yes, but other people don't remove the old wallpaper and than hang up pictures etc BEFORE setting up NEW wallpaper!?!

The thing is with keeping up with 5 kids and housework and floating energy levels I just have a little spare-time every day for projects. I found out I have to break bigger projects down in smaller jobs and

take breakes inbetween for keeping up with other stuff...

So there will come new wallpaper coming up EVENTUALLY.

MEANWHILE it looks like this:

This plate got my eldest child (10) to his birth from a family friend:

Yesterday it broke. Usually I do not get very sentimental about broken things. But this plate has so many sweet memories connected with it. My four oldest learned the alphabet while eating their bread. First the first letter of their own name, than Mama's and Papa's letters, than their siblings... grandparents... uncles and aunts... (they have so many aunts and uncles that by that time we covered nearly every letter...)

How is baby boy going to learn the alphabet?
