simplifying

I'm in the simplifying modus. Two reasons:

• Summer is approaching. We are spending much more time outside. So I try to keep inside low maintenance...
• Our baby has discovered the upraised position and is enjoying the countless new possibilities his new abbility implies...

I'm not so much into fashion. But when I came over to Marisa's blog, I was hooked. This girl is unbeliveable... I mean take this out-dated 90s fashion faux-pas:

And she turns it into this:

Marisa is doing that every day. How cool is that! I mean this girl must have an creative energy that is above most others! A redesign once a week... yeah. But. Every. Single. Day.

She made a deal. Here her own words:

So here’s the deal friends, I’m going to be spending the entire year without doing an ounce of traditional clothing shopping. 

Instead, the only shopping that I’ll be able to do is that of pieces that have been used and worn already.  So long to mall trips and hello to sifting through piles of vintage pieces at flea markets and at neighborhood garage sales. Each day for the entire year, I’m going to introduce a new piece into my existing wardrobe that I’ve found from these places.  On top of this, I’m giving myself a budget of $1 a day.

One person’s trash is becoming my treasure this year.

365 days. 365 items of clothing. 365 dollars.

french shutters and lots to do

Føljer du med på bolig fahion so må en jo har franske skodder (har egentlig lyst å blogger om kommersialiseringen av shabby chic stilen... det blir en annen gang)...

Her er min som eg fant te bare 800 Kroner sjo...

Før den ble fransk hadde den et norsk liv og var rød og prydet huset vårt på 80talet ;).

Ellers har eg hundre projekter igang og bare for lite tid te å blogga om det...

driftwood

On a walk to a small beach I gathered some driftwood. Yesterday I made these signs.

I love old weathered wood. And the best is one can get it for free!

Eg e langt fra ferige med kjøkkenet mitt (har faktisk tatt meg nogen dager pause). Men litt første bilder blir det likavel...

Eg har lyst  å mala bjelkene i taket og, men de spørs om det blir før sommeren...

Så var det de lyseblå flisene. Ka ska eg gjera med de?

My kitchen is far from finished (actually I had to take a break), but some pics I have to share. What should I do with the blue tiles? Paint? Remove? or keep them?

Uteplassen igjen...

Nå skulle eg en tur ut for å inspisere terassen i vest (som har egentlig masse potential). Og så sjønnte eg kafor guttane min var så opptatt hele ettermiddagen...

Uteplassen...

NIB utfordrer å vise uteplassen i mai. Siden det e såpass tidelig i året e det lov å vise bilder fra ifjor. Mine e til og med fra i forfjor...

NIB has a competition showing of your garden/porch /outside area. This are actually pictures from our last house, two years ago. I miss that garden .)
